Graduates
As a graduate software developer at Propel Tech you’ll be treated as an individual, with the flexibility to personalise your graduate journey.
You'll be given the opportunity to develop new bespoke systems using leading edge development technologies, as well as maintain and enhance existing client systems.
And there’s no lengthy training bootcamp to complete first, we know you’re eager to get going. Following our two-week onboarding programme, you’ll be straight in to learning on the job, meaning you’ll be working on client systems and projects from the start.
As well as developing your behavioural and commercial skills, as a Propel Tech graduate software developer you'll learn about:
- Building advanced systems using technologies such as React, Nativescript, CSS and Bootstrap
- Database design/SQL
- Object oriented coding
- MVC frameworks like Laravel web applications
- JavaScript development
- GIT/Version control
- Docker and containerised deployment
- Server management

Summer Internships
The Propel Tech Software Developer Intern Programme provides students with experience and understanding of what it means to work in software development, before you reach the end of your studies and begin applying for permanent positions.
Over the eight week programme you’ll be given the opportunity to try out developing systems using development technologies, such as the Laravel PHP framework, using Bootstrap as a frontend CSS framework.
You will work one on one with an experienced developer, who will act as your mentor and provide advice and guidance as you progress through a simulated client project, from understanding the clients brief right through to presenting your final system.
As you move through the project you will have the chance to meet people from various areas of the business. You will discuss coding aspects with developers, evaluate your work alongside the testing team and deploy your code to the cloud whilst working with infrastructure experts.
And you won’t just be developing your technical skills; you’ll also learn about the commercial and behavioural skills which will be essential for your future career in software development.
