JCB - 24/7 Monitoring and Support

JCB have numerous worldwide systems that need 24/7 support. Due to the mission-critical nature of these systems, downtime can cost thousands per minute.

Propel was asked to increase the monitoring of these systems so proactive remediation can take place before severe issues take the system offline. An automated system was installed, 100s of monitoring events were configured and an automatic contact process for on-call engineers was implemented so that when critical events are logged engineers are able to respond immediately. JCB business users were also given monitoring dashboards to give them visibility of the performance of the system.

The obvious benefits were critical issues a now acted upon within 15 minutes of being caught by the monitoring system. Proactive analysis of system performance to catch potential issues before they actually happen means unplanned downtime has been eliminated.
