Propel Tech's commitment to doing good stuff: a year in review

At Propel Tech, we believe in the power of doing good stuff and helping others move forward. Our whole business ethos focuses on driving positive change and bringing possibilities to life.  We not only carry this into the work that we do but the world we live in. As we look to the year ahead and explore new ways to do more good, we are proud to reflect on the meaningful initiatives that have defined our commitment to social and environmental causes in the last 12 months.

Supporting food charities: food bank donations

Each year we support our local food bank. In 2023 this included Easter egg donations to spread a little cheer amongst families experiencing hardship, where we organised an “eggciting” food bank donation drive. 

Christmas can be a tough time for many, so during the festive season, our employees collected and donated 100s of essential items for those in need to help make the holiday season a little more joyful. 

Empowering women in sports: Huddersfield Town Women’s sponsorship

Propel Tech proudly sponsored the Huddersfield Town Women's team, recognising the importance of empowering women in sports. Our collaboration is aimed at promoting equality and fostering a supportive community around women's football, plus we love seeing all the action in the games. 

Fitness for a cause: Propel Tech's Push-Up Challenge and Wakefield Hospice 10K

Propel Tech employees are not afraid of a bit of physical effort, so in 2023, members of the team put on their running shoes and gym kits to raise awareness and funds for important causes. This included taking part in the Wakefield 10K and a charity Push-Up Challenge which saw employees pledging to complete a whopping 100 push-ups every day for the entire month of November. These initiatives not only encouraged a healthy lifestyle, but also raised essential funds for meaningful causes. 

Sustainability in action: The Green Web Foundation partnership

Propel Tech, like many businesses, is on a sustainable journey. We proudly support The Green Web Foundation and initiatives that promote a greener and more sustainable future. We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and fostering eco-friendly practices. 

Community canine fun: Wakefield Hospice Dog Show

In support of the Wakefield Hospice, Propel Tech sponsored and actively participated in the Wakefield Hospice Dog Show. This delightful event not only brought joy to our team but also contributed to raising funds for a vital cause. 

Repurposing Tech in 2024: Re-Tech our business community recycling campaign

Propel Tech, has partnered with national community interest company, SocialBox.Biz, to launch Re-Tech - a vital appeal to businesses to donate old laptops to help people experiencing hardship move forward with their lives. Collecting all old laptops and tech from local businesses and individuals our partnership aims to ensure everyone has access to the change technology can offer. More good stuff to come: looking to 2024 

As we reflect on the various CSR initiatives undertaken by Propel Tech over the past year, we are reminded of the positive impact that our collective action can have. Our commitment to corporate social responsibility remains steadfast, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to make a meaningful difference.
