Following Covid-19 and increased remote working, there has been an increase in the risk of stress, anxiety, depression, isolation and burnout.

The well-being of our team members is a main priority at Propel Tech, which is why this Blue Monday, we’re pleased to announce our new benefits package to brighten up the ‘darkest day of the year’ for our employees.

Putting time and effort into learning and developing new skills has been known to help improve mental health and support those suffering from low moods, low self-esteem, a lack of focus or mild anxiety and depression. This is why we now provide free access to a digital platform for hobby learning, such as learning a new language or sign language.

MyMindPal access

Prevention and early risk identification are the two most effective ways to protect the welfare of employees; that is why we now provide free access to MyMindPal, which builds mental fitness and directs those at risk to the appropriate support.

Life event day off 

Our life event day off provides additional annual leave on top of existing leave for important things that don't involve rest. Not just birthdays; employees can take paid leave for significant personal situations, such as moving house, a wedding, or welcoming a new pet.

Private medical insurance and death-in-service cover. 

We’ve got your back! If you become unwell, we can help bring you peace of mind. Our employees can access medical support quickly (this includes mental health support). If relatives depend on your income to cover the mortgage or other living expenses, our death-in-service cover provides financial support should the worst happen.

Salary sacrifice pension contributions

With the current economic crisis, using a salary sacrifice approach to pensions will put a bit more money in employees' pockets each month, hopefully helping to take some of the cost of living pressure off in 2023.

Ability to buy and sell annual leave

Depending on which they choose, Propel Tech team members can spend more time with family and friends, taking time to relax and do the things they enjoy outside of work or exchange days to build extra funds.

Back in September, we launched our Growth Share Scheme to encourage members of our team to be fully invested and reward their hard work and contribution with equity, so that they share in the success of the company as we continue to grow. This is available for employees with at least two years of service.

Employee Assistance Programme with Health Assured

The programme provides our employees with access to a 24-hour helpline, where they can confidently speak to a trained counsellor and book face-to-face or structured telephone counselling sessions. All employees also have access to the My Healthy Advantage app and online well-being portal filled with useful articles, webinars and tools to support their health and well-being.

We also offer above statutory maternity & paternity pay; however, we do not see this as a perk but believe this should be a standard across businesses.
